About The Clinical Trial Locations

The sites participating in this study were chosen for their expertise, facilities, and experience with sickle cell anemia (SCA). In addition to being leaders in providing care to children with SCA, each site also has experts (called exercise physiologists) trained in doing fitness and exercise testing safely in children with SCA and other chronic medical conditions. The 3 sites listed below are currently enrolling children with and without SCA for SPRINTS. Besides the sites listed below, the University of California Irvine will serve as the main site for performing special blood tests that are sent to them from the other sites.
